Hello and welcome to the City of Forney's project website for the Comprehensive Plan Update. This website was created specifically with the Forney community in mind. The City and our Consultant (Jacobs Carter Burgess) wants to give everyone an opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns throughout the Comprehensive Planning process.
As of May 2, 2008 we have had a total of three community meetings to discuss the Comprehensive Plan. Last night we updated the Planning and Zoning Commission on our progress thus far. Combined with the comments from the community meetings and the survey results we feel have a good idea about the pressing issues in Forney. Over the next few months we will begin to develop a draft comprehensive plan and alternative future growth scenarios with the P&Z Commission and City Staff.
